Equator Crossing / Äquator-Überquerung

There are some further posts about our time in and after Nairobi still in the making. However, some concerned friends have contacted us recently as a result of our last post „Unintended Deceleration“, asking if now everything is okay with us and the camper. Hence we feel we have to post an all-clear signal: A-OK! All three of us are fine and also the camper is running again perfectly. (Maybe if I would have checked the engine in the workshop the injector issue would not have come up at all - LOL.)

Meanwhile we crossed the equator and are yet again in the northern hemisphere. Standing on the equator was not different than standing anywhere else in the world (which was, to be honest, a bit disappointing for me. Or have I been just in a wrong „space“?).

At the moment we are in the lodge „The Haven“ of our friend Rainer, just behind the source of the Nile in Uganda, and looking at the first white water rapids. Yet we wanted to report in a chronological order, thus more about it later on...

Äquator-Überquerung

Es werden noch einige Posts aus der Zeit in und nach Nairobi kommen. Doch weil einige Freunde sich in Folge unseres letzten Posts „Ungewollte Entschleunigung“ nun besorgt nach uns und unserem Camper erkundigt haben, hier ein kurzer Zwischen-Post zur Entwarnung: alles bestens! Uns dreien geht es gut. Auch der Camper läuft wieder perfekt (vielleicht hätte man in der Werkstatt gleich mich an den Motor gelassen, dann wäre das Ganze erst gar nicht passiert - LOL). 

Wir haben zwischenzeitlich den Äquator überschritten und befinden uns wieder einmal in der nördlichen Hemisphäre. Auf dem Äquator zu stehen fühlt sich auch nicht anders an als anderswo. (Irgendwie bin ich schon ein wenig enttäuscht, oder war ich schlichtweg nicht im richtigen „Space“?).

Momentan sind wir in der Lodge „The Haven“ unseres Freundes Rainer, kurz hinter den Quellen des Nils in Uganda, und blicken auf die ersten Stromschnellen. Doch eigentlich soll ja alles der Reihe nach gepostet werden, also später dazu mehr...
